Nazaré is a Researcher at the NOVA School of Science and Technology, NOVA University Lisbon. Since 2021, she has coordinated the Bioresources and Green Technologies area at CENSE—Centre for Environmental and Sustainability Research. She also serves as a Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering member. At NOVA, Nazaré leads multidisciplinary teams, including those for European projects, and teaches courses on soil pollution, management and remediation, and climate change. She has undertaken short-term missions in various European countries (Italy, Spain, Denmark, Greenland) and international institutions in the USA and China.
