Courses will begin in the week prior to the conference, offering two online sessions, followed by a final session held in-person at the Charleston Conference, in Bangkok, Thailand, on 25 January 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>We seek volunteer instructors from the FORCE11 and the Charleston Communities. Have you learned a valuable skill set useful to your fellow colleagues in scholarly communication? We urge you to develop a course proposal and submit it for consideration.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Save the date<\/strong> and consider submitting a course proposal! <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSfFf9bjEveat32rcs92Qy3oHW2beVSRv09Jub-XTCVLsdwUnQ\/viewform?usp=dialog\"><mark style=\"background-color:#f3e109\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Click here<\/mark><\/a> to view the course proposal submission form. All ideas in scholarly communication are welcome for consideration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The last session of the course will take place in person in Bangkok, and so we require that one of the instructors will be available to instruct that session in person. FSCI will provide travel support for one instructor per course.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Running since 2017, <a href=\"https:\/\/force11.org\/fsci\/\">FSCI<\/a> provides a platform for professionals to gain education and build capacity in key areas of scholarly communication. FSCI courses provide practical training on a particular aspect of scholarly communications, while paying attention to the broader issues at play. FSCI courses may also explore emerging trends, challenges, and possible solutions. Please help us get the word out to your colleagues in research and scholarly communication by sharing this information with your network. We greatly appreciate your ongoing assistance in helping FSCI to develop and grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We invite proposals by new instructors as well as returning FSCI courses and instructors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Courses should incorporate practical tools as a way to illustrate key concepts. Proposals that are solely tutorials for a single platform or tool are discouraged.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"call-for-courses-for-fsci-2026nbsp-3d4cedc4-ed24-41c5-ace7-3270be6d51dc\"><strong>Call for Courses for FSCI 2026&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a member of the FORCE11 community, or otherwise involved in the scholarly communication landscape, you likely have experience or skills in research communication methods, open research practices, and\/or innovation in scholarly dissemination. Help your community of practice by sharing what you\u2019ve learned in a FSCI course. The global community of FSCI attendees consists of researchers, librarians, administrators, publishers, and support staff across the research-communication lifecycle. Join our group of volunteer instructors and learners at the immersive, community-led FSCI, which is welcome to all and presented by the FORCE11 community in collaboration with the Charleston Conference Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We ask people to also keep in mind the priorities of the Charleston Conference.
