If neither one of the co-chairs is a FORCE11 BOD member, 1 BOD member will be included in the committee to serve as a board liaison.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Purpose\/Goals of the Committee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference committee aims to organize FORCE11 conferences (whether in-person, online, or hybrid).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Committee Scope\/Activities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Conference Organizing Committee will organize the FORCE Conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select conference theme and dates.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create a structure for conference session formats and schedule.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open call for proposals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review and accept submitted proposals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Invite speakers and keynote speakers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Organize special-format sessions (if any).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help with technical and logistical matters during the days of the conference (if needed).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Roles &amp; desired skills<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>FORCE Conference Organizing Committee members are expected to have experience in conference organization and the use of collaborative documents, such as Google Docs. They are also expected to have good teamwork skills and a fair understanding of written and spoken English language. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Members of the Committee&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Past conference committees:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>2026<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2024<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2023<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/force11.org\/conference\/post\/force2021-committees\/\">2021 Committee List<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Committee Member Commitment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The FORCE11 conference organizing committee members\u2019 term of service on the committee is one year (until the end of the conference evaluation). Committee members commit to participating in the committee activities and to attending bi-weekly committee calls. The frequency of the committee calls might increase as the conference dates approach.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All FORCE11 Conference Committee members are expected to adhere to FORCE11\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/force11.org\/info\/code-of-conduct\/\">Code of Conduct<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Join the Committee<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>FORCE11 Conference Committee has enrollment time frames.
