It also provides insight and materials for individual or small group consultations with faculty and research teams. This section speaks to ACRL&rsquo;s work at the Intersections of Scholarly Communications and Instruction.&nbsp; Example recipes include:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Consulting with faculty on copyright and materials licensing&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Leading workshops on adopting and adapting OERs&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Helping researchers write data management plans&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Supporting graduate students as they establish their scholarly identity&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Consulting with researchers on their rights as authors&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Supporting research workflows&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Teaching data visualization workshops&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Instructing on funder mandate compliance&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Using the ACRL Framework to teach SC-related concepts and skills&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Educating researchers on differences in publishing models and trends around the world&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Section 3: Outreach, Engagement and Campus Partnerships &nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This section includes recipes for hosting events, engaging with researchers and establishing partnerships across campus. Example recipes include:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Open Science and Open Data initiatives&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Open Access Week or Open Education Week activities&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Co-sponsored projects with campus units like IT, the Graduate Office and the Writing Center&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Partnerships with faculty and research teams&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Research data management support&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Events on publishing and establishing scholarly identity for female researchers&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Section 4: Using Technology and Tools &nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This section contains recipes for identifying, using, and teaching SC technologies and tools to support the research lifecycle. Example recipes include:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Using LaTeX for collaborative writing&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Implementing local institutional repository adaptations&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Using reference management software&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Identifying a research information management system (RIMS) for their campus&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Teaching students best practices for using electronic lab notebooks&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Have an innovative idea but aren&#039;t sure which section it might fit into?&nbsp; Contact us! Recipes that address scholarly communications support for underrepresented minority researchers are especially encouraged.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Deadline for Contributor&#039;s Proposals:&nbsp; November 15, 2019&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Editor Review and Notification of Acceptance: February 1, 2020&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Final version of recipes due: May 1, 2020&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Please refer to previous ACRL cookbooks, such as the First Year Experience Cookbook (2017) or the Library Assessment Cookbook (2017) for examples.
