Following the success of the In Review service, which launched in October 2018 in partnership with Springer Nature, researchers can now post their manuscript directly to the platform as a preprint and gain early feedback from the scientific community.

Research Square currently hosts over 1,900 articles under consideration at 31 BMC journals, along with protocols posted to Protocol Exchange. Research Square offers full HTML and figure rendering of all articles, and a private author dashboard through which authors will be able to access manuscript preparation services from American Journal Experts (AJE), editorial badges, and video services as a way to improve and promote their research to a wider audience.

Damian Pattinson, VP of Content and Engagement at Research Square, identifies what’s unique about Research Square and how this platform compliments the organization’s long-standing goals:

“Research Square has a long history of helping authors communicate their research, through English editing, editorial assessment, and video abstracts. This new platform takes this further by giving authors a way of sharing and improving their research before submitting to a journal.“

The platform is open for submissions in all scientific disciplines, and all articles will be made available under a CC-BY license. Readers can browse existing articles and comment on emerging science by visiting www.researchsquare.com.

“Research Square plans to introduce more ways for researchers to share and improve their work, both publicly and privately, and will continue to rollout new features throughout 2019. Our aim is to bring together all the services that researchers need to move their article from preprint to publication into a single venue thereby accelerating the pace of research” says Pattinson.

For more information, please visit www.researchsquare.com.

About Research Square

At Research Square, we’re committed to making research communication faster, fairer, and more useful.
