{"id":142239,"date":"2016-02-17T15:51:14","date_gmt":"2016-02-17T15:51:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/force11.org\/job-opportunity-arcadia-fund-london\/"},"modified":"2022-05-26T13:46:08","modified_gmt":"2022-05-26T13:46:08","slug":"job-opportunity-arcadia-fund-london","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/force11.org\/post\/job-opportunity-arcadia-fund-london\/","title":{"rendered":"job opportunity &#8211; Arcadia Fund, London"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"ct_body\">\n<p>Arcadia Fund (www.arcadiafund.org.uk). is&nbsp;currently recruiting for an Assistant Grants Manager with experience in open access and digital humanities.<\/p>\n<p>Key responsibilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To research and assist in developing new funding proposals in endangered culture and open access<\/li>\n<li>To evaluate existing funding<\/li>\n<li>To assist with ongoing grant management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Key Skills and Experience:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrable knowledge of digital humanities, including the problems of digital preservation.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable knowledge of issues of open access to academic publications, primary materials and data.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable interest in issues of cultural heritage preservation.<\/li>\n<li>PhD in digital humanities, modern history or social sciences.<\/li>\n<li>Strong research and analytical skills, including analytical report writing.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Numerate, able to handle, analyse and interpret quantitative information.<\/li>\n<li>Strong networking skills, able to build and maintain contacts in the philanthropic and academic sectors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Personal Attributes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Confidentiality, discretion and high professional standards.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Critical intelligence, combined with drive and attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Flexible team player, able to work at times with minimal supervision.<\/li>\n<li>Interest in philanthropy\/grant-making.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This is a full-time, permanent role, 40 hours per week, based in Central London.<\/p>\n<p>Salary &pound;27,000 to &pound;37,000 per annum depending on experience, plus benefits.<\/p>\n<p>To apply for this post, please send a CV, cover letter including your current salary, and the names and contact details of three referees to recruitment@arcadiafund.org.uk by 24 March 2016.
