{"id":141616,"date":"2013-08-07T23:01:35","date_gmt":"2013-08-07T23:01:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging2.simonw59.sg-host.com\/odin-orcid-and-datacite-interoperability-network\/"},"modified":"2022-05-26T13:41:33","modified_gmt":"2022-05-26T13:41:33","slug":"odin-orcid-and-datacite-interoperability-network","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/force11.org\/event\/odin-orcid-and-datacite-interoperability-network\/","title":{"rendered":"ODIN (ORCID and DataCite Interoperability Network)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ct_field\"><span class=\"ct_label\">Date:<\/span>&nbsp;<span class=\"ct_date\">15th October 2013<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ct_field\"><span class=\"ct_label\">Location:<\/span>&nbsp;<span class=\"ct_default\">Geneva, Switzerland<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"ct_body\">\n<p>ODIN (ORCID and DataCite Interoperability Network) is a two-year EU-funded project that aims to increase the interoperability of trusted researcher and data identifiers and demonstrate the wonders that can be built upon such open services [1]. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\tWe would like to invite interested members of the Force11 community to ODIN&#039;s first year conference and codesprint, to be held 15-17 October at CERN in Geneva. &nbsp;In particular, the first two-days are solely given over to a codesprint (Oct 15-16) during which participants will collaborate on projects to demonstrate and take advantage of interoperable researcher and data identifiers, along with developers from ORCID &amp; DataCite.<\/p>\n<p>\tThe third day (Oct 17) is a general conference open to all. &nbsp;ODIN partners will share the results from the first half of the 2-year project and receive feedback from the community.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\tThe full program, codesprint ideas, and registration details, are at [2]. &nbsp;Participants are asked to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses. &nbsp;&nbsp;Whether or not you can attend, you are invited to contribute to the codesprint ideas. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\tFirst-time visitors to CERN might find a particular part of the program very interesting &ndash; a guided tour of the Large Hadron Collider [3]. &nbsp;&nbsp;And you can see where the WWW was born [4]<\/p>\n<p>\tWe hope to see you in Geneva in October!
