5 p.m.<br \/>\n\t15 May 2013, 9 a.m. &#8211; 12 p.m.<br \/>\n\tNational Academy of Science<br \/>\n\tAuditorium<br \/>\n\t2100 Constitution Avenue<br \/>\n\tWashington DC 20418<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"http:\/\/www.surveygizmo.com\/s3\/1210115\/Public-Access-to-Federally-Supported-R-amp-D-Publications\">Register Here<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">On 22 February 2013, the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) issued a<a href=\"http:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/sites\/default\/files\/microsites\/ostp\/ostp_public_access_memo_2013.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> memorandum<\/a> to the heads of executive departments and agencies, directing them to &ldquo;develop a plan to support increased public access to the results of research funded by the Federal Government.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>\tAs part of this planning process, a group of cooperating federal <a href=\"http:\/\/sites.nationalacademies.org\/DBASSE\/CurrentProjects\/DBASSE_082378\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agencies<\/a> has requested that the National Research Council (NRC) Division on Behavioral and Social Sciences and Education (DBASSE) organize this meeting&nbsp;to draw in representatives of all&nbsp;stakeholder groups and interested parties.&nbsp; The purpose of the meeting is to allow those who wish to do so an opportunity to<span style=\"background:#ffffff;color:#ff0000;font-family:Arial, 'sans-serif';font-size:12pt\">&nbsp;<\/span>provide input into the development of acceptable models of public access to the outputs of federally supported research and development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">The National Academy of Science, in keeping with its 150-year tradition of service to the nation, will provide an unbiased forum in which all views may be heard.&nbsp; Time constraints may require that selection be made among the many who will apply to speak; every effort will be made to assure that those who are selected are representative of all viewpoints.&nbsp;
