{"id":141562,"date":"2013-03-06T20:10:22","date_gmt":"2013-03-06T20:10:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging2.simonw59.sg-host.com\/call-for-opencourseware-to-be-published-at-slidewiki-org\/"},"modified":"2022-05-26T13:41:07","modified_gmt":"2022-05-26T13:41:07","slug":"call-for-opencourseware-to-be-published-at-slidewiki-org","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/force11.org\/post\/call-for-opencourseware-to-be-published-at-slidewiki-org\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for OpenCourseWare to be published at SlideWiki.org"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"ct_body\">\n<div>\n\tIn the last months we were working on the collaborative educational content authoring platform <a href=\"http:\/\/SlideWiki.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/SlideWiki.org<\/a><\/div>\n<p>SlideWiki allows to create richly structured presentations comprising slides, self-test questionnaires, illustrations etc.<\/p>\n<p>\tSlideWiki <strong><em>features<\/em> <\/strong>include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tWYSIWYG slide authoring<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t&nbsp;Logical slide and deck representation<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t&nbsp;LaTeX\/MathML integration<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t&nbsp;Multilingual decks \/ semi-automatic translation in 50+ languages<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t&nbsp;PowerPoint\/HTML import<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t&nbsp;Source code highlighting within slides<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t&nbsp;Dynamic CSS themability and transitions<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t&nbsp;Social networking activities<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t&nbsp;Full revisioning and branching of slides and decks<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t&nbsp;E-Learning with self-assessment questionnaires<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\tTogether with our colleagues at <a href=\"http:\/\/aksw.org\">AKSW <\/a>we now started to create a comprehensive *lecture series on the Semantic Data Web*:<\/p>\n<p>\t<a href=\"http:\/\/slidewiki.org\/item\/deck\/750\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/slidewiki.org\/item\/deck\/750<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\tWe now almost completed the first lectures on RDF and RDF-Schema and aim to complete the whole series by May. We are also working on translating this to different languages (e.g. Russian, Persian, Arabic, Portuguese, Italian, German, Greek, cf. Persian version at:<br \/>\n\t<a href=\"http:\/\/slidewiki.org\/deck\/870\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/slidewiki.org\/deck\/870<\/a>)<\/p>\n<div data-mce-style=\" arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">\n\t.<br \/>\n\tWe are looking for additional lecture notes (i.e. slide series) for publication on <a href=\"http:\/\/slidewiki.org\">SlideWiki<\/a>. We will support the import and enrichment of the courseware in SlideWiki. Original authors will be attributed prominently. A requirement is licensing of the content as Creative Commons Attribution Share Alike.
